At the Beach with Papa and David

We went to Houston to get out of Tom's hair while he studied for the Dental Boards Part I. My mom left the second day we were there to go help out my sister, who just had a baby girl. That left us with Papa and David. They were both gone a lot, Papa at work and David with friends, but on Friday we all took a trip to the beach. Shelby and Taylor loved it. Payden wasn't too sure, but by the end we got her to walk over to the ocean. We had lots of fun.

Taylor was a dog the entire time. I was worried about the waves in her face, but she was surprisingly good at getting her face out of the way.

David was kind enough to let the girls dump mud on him again and again and again.

Payden spent most of her time playing in the sand with Papa. She wasn't very fond of sand between her toes, but enjoyed dumping sand in the bucket.

Finally, she was brave enough to go in the water. She wasn't too excited about it (can you tell by her face), but she wanted to be part of the crowd, so she stayed.
