Twice a year we get to listen to the leaders of church as they give us counsel. The messages are always wonderful and inspiring. This year we were able to listen to all 4 sessions. Of course, with kids I don't exactly hear everything, but I am grateful for what I did get to hear. The 2 messages that stood out most to me was President Monson's talk on Gratitude and striving to have an attitude of gratitude. The other talk was President Uchtdorf's talk on Simplicity, which hit home as I always seem to have a million things to do. There were other messages on faith, trust, teaching your children, and more that also left me with lots of things to think about and implement in my life.
Now, to help pass the time I had packets of activities for each kid, which included coloring pages, Conference bingo, and other things. I also bought Halloween wood crafts for the girls to decorate.

Of course, there was some silliness as the kids got antsy (cause 4 2-hour sessions is a lot when you're little).

The puzzles were good in keeping little hands busy.

Overall it was a inspirational and relaxing weekend.

Now I can't wait for the next one!
