Last night while trick-or-treating Taylor was complaining that her tummy hurt. When we got home we made her go to the bathroom to see if it would help. She went off to bed, but came back down later saying her tummy was hurting. We tried the potty again and then sent her back to bed. Finally at about 11:00 she came down after throwing up in her bed. She really didn't have a lot of candy and since her tummy had been hurting all night and since another kid from church has been throwing up, I knew she'd gotten sick too. Well that was the beginning of a long night. She had a hard time settling down and getting to sleep. When she finally did, I had been up too long and couldn't sleep. Then as I was finally starting to go to sleep, Payden started throwing up. Between the two of them I was up most of the night with only a wink of sleep here and there. It was a LONG night.
After dropping Shelby off at school (and before I could get them out of the car), they resumed the throwing up. It's been a day of cleaning beds and carseats and taking care of sick kids. What's even worse is Payden has been teething the past week, so I haven't had a good nights sleep since before this whole sick drama began a month ago.
So that's where I'm at . . . should I cry or laugh? I'm not sure, but for now I think I'll go to bed and hopefully - my fingers are crossed - get a bit more sleep tonight. Tomorrow's another day. I've learned to take things a day at a time, which is all you can do when your kids are sick time and time again.
Here are the sickos. I'd been holding Payden and had to put her down to resume cleaning. She laid down on the couch like this for about 20 minutes!!! She is an active child, so she must not be feeling well to lay down for that long. My poor babies!!!
I'm off to bed to gear up for another day!!! Good night . . . hopefully!!!

Poor girls! That is not fun being sick! There is a stomach virus going around and everyone is getting it! I had to call the dr. again today, because Eric had a major meltdown last night.
Oh, Rachel! Not again! Your girls have had all the luck for the last month!! Hopefully Shelby won't get it too! Let me know if there is anything I can do!
Rachel, you have the worst luck with sick kids of all the people I know. You're a trooper--to put it mildly! I had to laugh at the ice cream bucket as the catch-all. That's what my mom gave us when we were sick.
Here's praying that this goes away quickly and that you, Tom and Shelby avoid the sick bugs!

awwww--your poor kids & you poor mommy! I hope everyone is doing better. We've had a bit of this too (I got to change clothes 4 times yesterday due to my kids' vomit, etc.). I guess it's all going around, so hopefully it's left you by now!!! I continue to LOVE the blog--and your backgrounds are the CUTEST I've ever seen--where do you find them? =) Keep up the good work being a mommy!
Rachel- Dacie started throwing up today! Here we go! I HATE it! I wonder if it is contagious online-ha ha ha
Crying would make it better. It does for me anyway. Especially when you get to the point where you can't take anymore.
Happy belated Birthday Shelby! I can't believe you are 6 already. I hope you and your family are feeling better and that you were able to do something fun for your special day. We miss you guys.
