First, Tom was leaving school on Tuesday with his motorcycle jacket on holding his helmet and wearing his backpack. He had on a pair of navy scrubs . . . the usual dental student attire. He's walking down the hallway when 2 University police officers come walking up and block him, making him stop. Both start eyeballing him with these huge grins. Tom looked at them, totally confused. Finally they said, "Hey, do you have any ID?" Tom had to actually show them his ID. Apparently he's a pretty scary looking guy. We got a good chuckle out of this.
Second, Tom was on the way to pick up a friend because they were taking Shelby, Taylor, and the friend's daughter to the Spurs game (with the Spurs tickets Shelby got for the award she won). On his way there, Tom pulls up to a light and sees this . . .
FYI the sign reads "I am a thief. I stole $80 from Grandma." I like his parents creativity. I will have to keep this in mind for future reference (hopefully I'll never have to go there.)

That's pretty darn funny about Tom!! I would never have thought him to be scary, but maybe I haven't seen him in a while:)
And that poor kid!! I think that is SO mean to do that. But I guess he learned his lesson, one he will never forget hopefully!
