WREB Weekend

On April 30, the big day finally arrived. The day Tom began his licensing exam - the WREB. My parents had wanted to come visit this month and decided to come the weekend of the WREB to help out if needed. It turned out to be a good thing as I had to make a couple of runs to the school with supplies (i.e. food and stuff) while Declan was sleeping, and so my parents were able to stay with the kids while I quickly ran to school. While Tom worked away cleaning teeth, filling cavities, and doing a few root canals, we stayed with Nana and Papa. We were finally able to make our Easter dyed pasta noodles into necklaces. The girls had lots of fun stringing the noodles on yarn.

My dad was out in the backyard and found a nice surprise on our porch . . .

I am SOOOOOOO glad he found it and not me. I am not a snake fan - dead or alive. The girls were really interested, but only Taylor was brave enough to touch it.

David also entertained the girls with games on the computer and played some Rock Band 2 to pass the time.

When Tom finished, we headed to dinner and then sent my parents and David on their way back home. As for his test, Tom felt pretty confident on his scaling and root planing and his endo, but was given a few pink slips (i.e. had some problems) on his fillings. He was grateful to be done with test, but did not look forward to waiting for the results.

It was a short visit, but we enjoyed having them there and helping us pass the time while Tom took his test.
