Along Came a Spider

So I woke up Thursday morning with this on my arm . . .

Now you can't really see in the picture, but the dark spot is only the middle. There was a circle around that dark spot that was light pink and a little over an inch in diameter. Any time I would bump it, it would KILL. I've never had anything like this, so I headed to the doctor Friday afternoon. I'm glad I did. I've heard of too many horror stories where people go to the doctor too late and end up with major problems.

The doctor decided it was a spider bite and put me on antibiotics. Of course, he told me there's no guarantee that it'll get better, but at least we were being proactive. Great!

I'm also supposed to be nice to it, which means no picking up kids or bumping it . . . yeah right!! Like that's gonna happen. Anyways, hopefully the medicine will do it's job as well as my body and I'll be better soon. The frustrating thing is I seem to hit that spot ALL THE TIME. Do I normally hit that spot all the time or is just because I have a very painful spider bite there?
