1. When we moved into Tom's sister's basement, we put our TV up and moved theirs to the floor. There were other equipment over there, so we put the box of DVDs in front of the TV to prevent Declan from crawling over there. Well, being the explorer that he is, Declan learned to climb up on the box. One day he had a toy in his hand when he did that and decided to toss behind the tv. He realized that throwing things made a lot of cool noises as the things fell down the backside of the tv, so now he LOVES taking things and throwing them down there. Usually the Xbox controllers are in that area, so he LOVES LOVES LOVES to throw them behind the tv (they make a REALLY loud noise). I am constantly having to bend over to pick up tons of toys from behind the tv.
2. He loves hammering. The red maracas are also drumsticks, and he loves hammering and banging everything with them. Unfortunately sometimes it is our heads.
3. We have 2 toolboxes - a plastic set and a wooden set. Declan LOVES to carry around the screws and nails from these sets. He is constantly walking around with one in each hand. It's funny to me because boys are boys. From the get-go, he has liked boy things moreso than his sisters have. These are the same toys I've had for his sisters, but he has just liked them more than they ever did. (I also love how big his eyes are in this picture.)
4. He also LOVES being a goof. He started making silly faces in April and almost 6 months later he still is making them . . . and we're still laughing at them. I can see a bit of his dad in him as he loves making people laugh. If we laugh at anything, Declan will do that thing over and over and over again just to keep us laughing.
