Trip to Fredericksburg

Well after a few motorcycles ride, we headed out to Fredericksburg to get away. Now there's all sorts of things to do in Fredericksburg . . . none of which we did. It was just relaxing to get out of San Antonio and go on a nice car ride. Tom and I often visited his parents in Vegas when we lived in Provo, and we certainly miss the car rides. Anyways so off we went.

While we were driving, Payden started yelling my name. This is a common occurrence when we're in the car. It's usually a nice LOUD "Ma" repeated over and over and over and over until I say what. Well this time I said "What" and turned to look at her. She was sitting there with the fry container smushed against her face . . . thinking she was SOOOO funny. Of course I started laughing and so she kept doing it. She really loves trying to get us laugh, and, once she finds something that works, she keeps doing it over and over again. She is hilarious. I hope she keeps it up. So after I snapped a picture of Payden, I turned to see what Taylor was up to.

Can you tell who played around in her bed instead of taking a nap? Not even food could keep her awake in the car. She was konked out until we got to Fredericksburg.

When we got there, we saw this park next to this Pioneer Museum. We took a few pictures in front of the museum (it was supposed to be a picture of just the girls, but this couple insisted on taking a picture of the whole family).

Then we headed over to the park to play. Shelby and Taylor had to try out every slide while Payden did what she always does . . . climbs up the slides backwards. She did slide down by herself for a bit. She's usually too scared, but finally realized that it's fun to go down alone.

On the way back to the car, the girls sat down on a bench so we could snap some pictures.

Then they found a huge field of grass to run around and play in. After that we headed back home. It wasn't a long trip and we didn't do any of the normal stuff that people do when they go to Fredericksburg, but it definitely was a nice relaxing evening as a family.
