Thursday after swimming, I was upstairs with the girls getting them in the bath when Payden started peeing on the floor. She hasn't really done this before and was kind of shocked about the whole thing. She immediately stopped, so I picked her up and tried to put her on the potty to finish. Well, she started freaking out. I couldn't even get her on because she wouldn't allow it. Well, since I hope to potty train her sometime in the near future (once we settle from having a new baby in the house), I figured I'd better buy her potty trainer seat now to get her used to it because she is SOOOOOO afraid of sitting on the potty.
We were at Target and they had a Dora the Explorer seat, which I figured would be perfect. We got it out that night and would you believe it . . .
she absolutely loves it. In fact, she gets on it and refuses to get off. She insists on having reading material while on it and will sit there forever if we'd let her. Usually I end up pulling her off with her screaming and crying, and then I have to block her from getting back in the bathroom. Who would have thought she would have LOVED it?! Now we just have to get her to actually pee while sitting on the potty.
