A Few Firsts

Declan's umbilical cord didn't fall off until he was 1 month old. It's taken me until today to finally get his bathtub down, so today was his first real bath in a tub. I decided to put his tub in the bathtub while the girls were bathing. They loved it. I forgot to grab my camera ahead of time, so I wasn't able to get any pictures. After I dressed Declan, I went back into the bathroom and found this . . .



She is hilarious.



Then I was taking a shower the other day and had Declan chilling in his carseat in my bathroom. I came out and saw him staring at his hand. I LOVE when they discover their hands. It's so cute. Payden and Taylor never really did this, but that matches their personalities more. They are always on the go. Always have something to do, mischief to make, toys to play with, and so forth. They don't really sit down to think and ponder things. Shelby, on the other hand, is our thinker, and she would stare and stare just like this. Too cute.



Unfortunately, it does make his eyes go a little cross . . . just a little bit. We worry about crossed-eyes in our house because both Shelby and I have had to have numerous surgeries to correct ours. Hopefully his are just because he's staring at his hand and not because he has crossed-eyes. Hopefully!



He started looking around the room for me and eventually found me. I love how aware he's becoming.
