Taylor's Tic

When Shelby was 2 she started licking her lips. She continued doing this daily for about a year. We could not get her to stop. Nothing worked. We took her to the pediatrician, and the doctor's answer was that young children tend to develop tics that will last for awhile and then disappear. It's just normal childhood behavior.

After Payden was born, Taylor developed a tic of her own . . . touching Payden's head. She could not walk by Payden without touching her head. It would drive Tom and I nuts. It was especially bad when Payden was learning to sit up because Taylor would come push on her head and knock her over. Well, 2 years later Taylor was still pushing on Payden's head. It was starting to not be so bad, until Declan was born. Now she's stopped pushing on Payden's head and started pushing on Declan's. I hope we don't have to deal with this for 2 more years, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Seriously, what is it with kids and their "tics" they get sometimes? Josh's HORRIBLE tic is punching everyone in the butt! He's been doing that since he turned 3. THANKFULLY he keeps it to family members. Can you imagine if he did that at school to his teacher or peers??? I would die!!

That is so funny--well, not really...but it is!
