Sweet!

Needing a fun adventure to go on, we found out about a candy factory that gives free tours and decided to head out one Monday as soon as the kids got home from school (which fortunately is an hour earlier on Mondays).

Once inside we waited for instructions. Once we'd watched a video and gotten our instructions, we donned our gorgeous hair nets and headed in. My job was to keep Declan's hair net on the entire time. That was FUN, but we did manage. He was interested in the factory from time to time and then I'd distract and play games and sometimes pin his arms to make it through the tour.

We got to see all different areas. At different times, we'd get asked questions with the winner getting an extra treat. Tom ended up being good at answering those questions. In one room, we had to guess which jelly bean was being made (Tom correctly answered root beer). Of course, no tour of a candy factory is complete without some samples. It was really interesting, the kids loved it, and we had a lot of fun. Of course afterwards we were lead to the candy store in the factory, where we couldn't resist buying some candy.

I love these little adventures!! Especially one that involves some education and some candy!!

Love all the new updates. A lot has gone on!! 2nd grade, Kindergarten, baby turning 1, fairs, etc. Geez! But it's all fun and exciting stuff! We've been meaning to head down the Sweets Candy Factory for awhile now, I've only heard great things about that place. This next summer we are planning on it, maybe we could all go together??!!

Can't believe Declan is 1 :( Our babies have grown up too fast. Camden isn't really saying anything either. He "talks" but it's his own language. However, with this child, I don't care. I want him to be a baby as long as I can so I haven't really been pushing him to talk either:) I like his cute little baby talk right now.

In your header picture looks like Shelby got her hair cut?? I LOVE it! It looks so good on her. She looks grown up but very very cute at the same time.

Hope you guys are doing well. Craig and I think about you guys often. I admire you guys for your positive attitudes and happiness even amongst all the craziness in your lives (still). You're a great example of choosing to be happy no matter what. Hopefully we will be able to see you guys soon!!
