Today was a perfect example of this. Shelby was sitting by Declan playing with him. Taylor had something to tell Shelby, so she sat down and started telling Shelby what she had to say. Now she was really intense with what she was saying and was obviously focusing on talking to Shelby, but I saw it. I saw how, unknowingly, she reached out her hand and started touching Declan's head.
She only glanced over at him when she realized I'd taken a picture.
Honestly, I don't think she knew she was even touching his head, but this happens all the time. For the most part, she's soft and so it's no big deal, but occasionally the touches turn to hits, and he ends up squawking at her or crying out in frustration or pain.
I just wish I knew how to turn this head-touching off. For now I'm just hoping that it will eventually go away as he gets bigger, more mobile, and harder to get to.

How interesting!!! My friend's son has a thing with ears. He's always trying to touch his friends ears.
