Snacktime

I try to be healthy with my kids' snacks. Now that's not to say that they never get cookies or sweets. It's just that they need to have healthy things first before they can enjoy the more delicious parts of the snack.

Well today they were ready for snacktime, but I needed a few minutes to finish what I was doing. Since I wasn't going fast enough, Taylor decided to take matters into her own hands. Her is what she came up with . . .

This was just my part, except the goldfish which were for everybody to share. But EVERYONE got their own orange AND apple AND cheesestick. I thought it was very sweet of her, and I was proud of her choices. Way to go Taylor!

(I'll have to admit I couldn't quite handle eating that much and only ate 1 fruit, which I felt bad about because she had carefully gotten it out just for me.)

That was such a thoughtful thing to do! I wish I had the boys trained up to eat snacks like that. The best we get is gold fish. They are baked and made from cheese. That is healthy right? :)
