Tonight the girls got to wear their Halloween pjs for the first time.
After getting their pjs on and brushing their teeth, our bedtime routine starts. First, the girls tell me what they liked about the day. Then we read an article from the Friend magazine to calm them down and get ready for prayers. After prayers we read a story from the children's scripture storybooks. Then we read the books the girls pick out for the night. Of course this month we've gotten to enjoy some new Halloween books. (I can't wait to get the Christmas books out!!) After the books, they each get to pick one song from the Children's Songbook. Then they give Tom hugs and kisses. I head up with Shelby and Taylor while Payden heads up with Tom. Sometimes Payden gets to be apart of the bedtime routine. Other times she goes to bed earlier. Then they all get tucked into bed and are down for the night.
Although the routine is really lengthy (30 - 45 minutes), I LOVE doing it. It's a nice way to settle down for the night, and we get reading and singing into our really busy days.

I love holiday jammies!! They're so cute. I haven't gotten any this year because it seems like the bigger josh gets, the less cute jammies are! He's only 4!! Why do they have to put grown up patterns on their jammies? Most 4 yr. olds still like pumpkins, trains, trucks, etc.!!
They do make them mature too fast. Sometimes Shelby can still fit into 5T, which is why it worked this year. I'll be sad when she's all the way in the little girl section.
