I Hold It.

At some point during each and every day, we hear this from Payden, "I hold it." This translates into "I want to hold Declan." It's hilarious. I can't get her to change it to "I hold him" or anything else. It's always "I hold it." Now I have to act quickly or else she'll try to get him herself. She's tried to get him out of the swing, his carrier, off the floor . . . you name it, and it scares me every time. Fortunately I've caught her each time and stopped her. She doesn't realize that he's half her weight and that she's not quite big enough to pick him up.

Anyways, here are a few "I hold it" moments.

She started to get shy when I snapped the pictures and started making this - her shy face.

I had to get a close-up of it because she's started getting really shy a lot lately and doing this face.

Of course while holding Declan, she is unable to resist giving him lots of kisses and hugs. Unfortunately, he doesn't always appreciate them.

I was laying on the couch, and she came up and sat on my legs and then asked to hold Declan. She looked so uncomfortable, but she sat there forever holding him.

Poor Declan. He's so upset in that picture. Payden's age is so cute, they just want to love, love and keep on loving but don't understand how fragile a newborn can be.
