Our Little Man

I noticed yesterday while I was changing Declan's outfit that he has definitely become our little man because he now has . . . man boobs. I weighed him at home last night and he weighed over 12 pounds, which means he's gained 4+ pounds in a month.

Tom has been trying to figure out who Declan looks like (he doesn't think Declan looks like either of us). When he saw these pictures, he decided that Declan definitely takes after him. :)

Now the reason I was stripping Declan down was because we'd gotten home from picking up Shelby, and he had puked EVERYWHERE. After having 2 non-puking, non-drooling babies (it was soooooo nice), I'm back to having a puker in the house. Just like Shelby, he can soak an outfit, his burp rag, his blankets in no time. Even if he's been burped and ate 2+ hours before, he starts puking. Especially when he's in his carseat.

When I pulled him out of his carseat this time, he'd thrown up so much that there was a pool at the bottom of his carseat, the side of the carseat and the shoulder straps were covered, his shirt was wet around the neck, and even the side and back of his outfit was soaked. SOOOO GROSS!!!! Unfortunately, he always smells like milk/sour milk even though he's bathed daily and wiped down often. Ah, the joys of having a puker.

Then last night something awesome happened. He slept 7 hours straight!!!! I'm soooo excited. Hopefully this trend will continue. Of course, I didn't get to enjoy that sleep as much because of 2 of my other kiddos. Payden woke me up at 3:00, crying because she didn't take a nap; she decided to play around in her bed during naptime, and no nap means she'll wake up at least once during the night. Then Shelby came in about 3:30 because of a nightmare. I was so exhausted that I didn't put her back in bed, but then I slept horribly because she was in our bed. Then Tom was up at 6, which was only 20 minutes after I'd finished with Declan. So although I didn't get to enjoy those 7 hours (those of you with just 1 child have it sooooo nice), I am ecstatic. He really is becoming my best night sleeper ever. Yea!!!!

Oh I LOVE him!! He's so yummy I wanna just nibble on those fat cheeks!!

Sorry about the "puker"!! I pray, and pray hard, that I never have that again!! It is horrible and people who have never had a puker just don't understand!!! It's such a mess to deal with. At least if this one is a puker we have our own washer and dryer:)

And yay for 7 hours! Woo Hoo!! Hopefully he will do it again when then rest of the natives are on better schedules:)

Oh, and....man boobs...you guys are too funny! I don't know if he looks like any one person either, but DANG he is cute!!

Tom,

He is definitely your kid. Way to pass the gynecomastia on, he doesn't have a chance now!!! He is a handsome little guy though, and I am already calling him for Avery. I hope he won't mind an older woman. Anyhow, congrats on the boy.

Love, Craig

That is such a blessing to have a puking sleeper--my puking babies were the WORST sleepers. He must be keeping plenty down to be gaining sooo much-your a great milk momma. Does Tom think he looks like him because of his man boobs? just kidding!!! I do miss small babies BUT NOT the no sleep!

Oh he is soooo cute! I love that quote on the side about Taylor wondering why he had a 'tongue' in his diaper---too funny!

Oh he is so cute!

Hey at least he can smile about the throw-up. That smile is so cute!

It's the best once they start sleeping more then 3 hours. Even if you can't enjoy the whole 5-7 hours sleeping, it's still nice.

I hope he keeps up the sleeping habit too!
