Bowling with the Cousins

Tom's brother's grandbaby had a dance recital, so Todd and his family as well as some more cousins headed into town for a visit and to see the recital. One of the days they were here, we decided to go bowling. We all had a blast.

Here's the group: Allie, Gabe, Ryan, Max, Madison, Declan, Shelby, Me, Taylor, Payden, Tom, and Cynthia.

Shelby (she was excited to use this ramp to aim the ball and did a good job of it):


Taylor (she had fun aiming the ball and was surprisingly good at getting strikes and spares; she was also willing to be a little crazy and aim the ball right at the bumper to watch the ball bounce back and forth down the lane):

Miss Payden is crazy sometimes. For reason, some floors FREAK her out. Not just a little bit. A LOT. The floor we had to bowl on was one of those floors. She would not move. She whined and cried and threw fits unless someone held her hand and led her across. I tried and tried to get her to go on her own, but she would just freak out. At one point I grabbed her ponytail and started leading her across, so she was doing it mostly on her own.


By the end, she was still as scared as she was at the beginning. It was crazy, but we all got a good laugh from her craziness. In the end, Taylor had the highest score, and we had a fun day with the cousins.
