His little fingers and hands are so cute as he tries to pick up food.
Of course, sometimes it's not for eating, but rather for pulverizing in his fist.
And then for marveling at what he's done.
But eventually he is able to make it to his mouth.
If he doesn't like it or he's curious to examine it again before eating it and swallowing it, then his hands immediately fly to his mouth so he can spit it back out. Initially he would only spit out his food if his fingers were by his mouth. Unfortunately, that didn't last too long.
Besides eating, he has also been working on blowing kisses . . .
Look. Aren't I cute?
and clapping.
I really am cute, Mom.
Since I was snapping pictures, I decided to take a picture of the lovely bump on his head. He must take after me because the bruise didn't get very bad at all. If he'd taken after Tom, it would be all sorts of DARK lovely shades of black, purple, green, and yellow.
He got that lovely conker a few days earlier. I was sitting on the couch, and he pulled himself up next to me. All of sudden he just fell over like a tree . . . TIMBER! Unfortunately, the treadmill was right by us, and his head caught the edge of it. Poor baby!
Anyways, he then grabbed my cup and decided to be silly Declan. He honestly is taking after his dad. He loves to be silly and goofy and, if something makes us laugh, he will do it over and over and over again to get the laughs.
This is just a fun age, and we are all loving every minute of it.
