I've never been to a community pool with so much to do. On the leisure side, there's a water playground in shallow water that deepens into another part which has a lazy river and a huge water slide.
Then there's the competitive pool, which has swimming lanes, diving board, another shallow area with a small kiddie slide, and a hot tub. Honestly, it is an awesome pool.
We started out on the playground side. Payden, who really loves swimming, decided she was going to be freaked out by the whole thing, and so we had to drag her in screaming. At first she stayed close by, but eventually realized how crazy she was being and started swimming around. After playing in that awhile, we headed to the lazy river. The girls LOVE the lazy river. There's a current in the water that helps move you along and a part where you get sprayed with water. Connected to the lazy river is a little pool where the water slide empties out.
After a few runs around the river, we tried the water slide. The girls LOVED it. All of them. That was their favorite, and they wanted to go on it over and over and over again. Tom taught Payden to scream and throw her hands in the air, so when I went down with her, I sat down getting ready to go and she covered her eyes, threw her other hand in the air, and started screaming. It was too cute. We all took our turns going down.
After awhile we headed over to the other pool area. It was much warmer, which was nice, but the girls did not enjoy it as much. We ended our day doing a few more runs down the slide and then headed off back home. We had a fun day and were glad Karin and David got to come. The girls had a lot of fun swimming with them and playing around with them. It was a fun day, and we look forward to coming back and swimming.
