Drive through American Fork Canyon

Tom and I love going on drives. We were in the mood for a good drive and decided to explore American Fork Canyon, which is just to the northeast of us. It was absolutely gorgeous.


This stream runs through the canyon, and it was beautiful to watch and listen to as we drove around.



Eventually we left the floor of the canyon and zigzagged our way up to the summit. Up there we were surrounded by aspens. They are a beautiful tree.


Tom love how the dark spots on the white bark often were shaped like eyes.


The forest floor was covered in ferns.




After reaching the summit we drove back down the other side of the mountain and back to another canyon floor filled with a stream.


The drive ended up taking us to Sundance and finally Provo Canyon, where we drove by Bridal Veil Falls on the drive home.


It was a lovely drive. I am always in awe of the beauty of the mountains and the scenery around me. We had a wonderful drive and are glad that we are minutes away from such breathtaking beauty.
